Win a Filk - We Have a Winner!!!
The winner of the Win a Filk of Your Very Own contest is… Sally Andersen!
Sally won for the following reasons:
1) Her answer was hysterical.
2) She also had the correct riddle answer.
3) She made fun of DaveP from Pop Buzz UK, and that’s always good!
So, Sally, pick you answer your choice for today’ post from the following SCA filk songs I wrote. Then, leave a comment and let me know what topic you would like your personal filk to be on. Congratulations.
And everyone be sure to check out Sally’s blog at Living Without Meat. It’s great!

Hi!!! and yay! (my internet has been not working :(, so I just saw this today at work) …
So I was also tempted by A Woman’s Pain, and since I am not the first to feel this way … let’s hear it!
And a new one, ey? mmm…Well, I tend to think of renaissance food as just huge chunks of meat, so do you think you could do one on the meat-free feast? hehe my other thought, as a knitter and craft instructor was that realm … you pick between the two.

Congratulations! I’m still trying to figure out what a filk is, though, so I’m not sure yet how upset I should be about my crushing defeat.

A filk is a song with new words written to an old, and usually well known, tune. Filks are usually about topics related to science fiction, fantasy or history. However, they can and are written about anything you can imagine. I once wrote a filk about toilet paper.
